We are coming up on the one year anniversary of this wedding I photographed for a beloved friend up in Maine. That’s life with two preschoolers for you. The difference between September 2019 and September 2020 is stark…our old life is almost unrecognizable. But I wanted to get these up before any more time passes. Happy anniversary to the Ludver Clan.
A recap of 2019.
I may be biased because he is my youngest brother, but recently I photographed one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever been to. It was a lovely August day and the ceremony took place next to a lake nestled in between rollings hills and rows of grapes being grown for the venue’s winery. I had a lovely time spending the afternoon with my future sister-in-law while she and her girls got ready, photographing the gorgeous ceremony, and dancing the evening away with the flower girls afterwards.
I love quaint little towns with character and small, intimate weddings with equal character so I was thrilled when a friend asked me to capture her and her loved ones for her wedding in historic Granville, Ohio. The ceremony took place at the Buxton Inn and we also snuck over to the grounds at the Granville Inn across the street for some photos. It was one of those gloomy, chilly summer days that can feel romantic in the right setting, with just a sprinkle of rain for good luck.
One of my goals for 2019 is to start booking more weddings.
I couldn’t resist putting my three year old in this amazing flower girl dress the moment it was in my possession. I love her post-nap grumpiness in juxtaposition with the grandeur of the dress. This was a completely candid session, taken on a whim, hence the disorder of her bedroom in the background. She is practicing to be a flower girl in her uncle’s wedding this summer.
